About the
Instructor
Dr.
Jerry Cellilo has served as a counselor and instructor with Foothill College
since 1991. He has taught online classes since 1994. Prior to that, he was
Administrative Dean for the college and prior to that he served as Director of
Internal Auditing for the community college district. Jerry, a CPA, has served
in industry and academe over the past 30 years in accounting, auditing, MIS,
teaching, and consulting. His computing background includes DEC VAX VMS, and
PC's from his first PC, a Commodore VIC 20 in 1980. Jerry currently functions
as a counselor for the college with emphasis in counseling high-tech and vocational
students. In addition, he teaches for the Counseling Division in career
development, and in the CTIS Division – on-line courses for Business
Technology, PC applications, systems analysis and VB programming. His doctorate
is in educational psychology.

When not working, Jerry spends his time
with his wife Judy and his 12 year old daughter Sandy. He enjoys music, digital
photography and has a myriad of MIDI (musical instrument digital interface) and
multimedia equipment hooked into his overloaded quad core PC. A SCUBA diver and
UW photographer, when he gets a break you will likely find him with his 2
brothers in the South FL Keys 2-3 atmospheres below sea level or riding his 2
wheeler up and down the Sierras.
His vehicle
collection suggests one extrinsic reason why the midlife crisis male should
have a college degree.
